Pupil Premium
Pupil Premium (Free School Meals) is funding given to provide a range of additional support for children who come from lower income families. For every eligible child the school will receive £1,345 per year to improve learning.
Pupil Premium is only payable for those children whose parents meet the eligibility criteria below:
- Income support
- Income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance
- Income-based Employment and Support Allowance
- Support as a result of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
- Pension Credit
- Child Tax Credit
- Working Tax Credit
- Universal Credit (if a household is earning less than £7,400 per year)
As of September 2014 all children will be entitled to a Universal Free School Meal, however this is not linked to additional funding for each child.
